No Vaccination ~ No Stay 

This ensures the wellbeing of your loved furry family member and all our other guests.

  • Boarding fees are charged as daily rates and will start on the day of arrival through to the day of departure, regardless of the time of drop off or pick up.
  • All fees are GST inclusive and must be paid in full on departure or when your cat is returned home by our taxi service.
  • Minimum charge per booking is 3 days.
  • Peak period: Christmas and New Year bookings (20th Dec – 15th Jan) require a non-refundable, non-transferrable $50 deposit and confirmation of dates must be made by 31st October to secure your booking (or within 5 days if booked after 31st Oct).
  • All statutory holiday days incur a $5 surcharge per day per unit.
  • Long term stays over 28 days are eligible for a 10% discount, and alternative payment arrangements will apply. No discounts apply to the Christmas / New Year peak period.
  • We reserve the right to charge for all days booked, including unused days, in the event that your cat is picked up before the due date of departure.
  • A cancellation fee of 25% of the total booking will apply for bookings cancelled less than 48 hours before the drop off date. Any cancellations prior to 48 hours before the drop off date, will not incur any fee. Any payments made will be refunded in full (this does not include peak period bookings).
  • We accept EFTPOS, Credit Cards or Cash. (Credit card payments will incur a 2.5% surcharge). Internet banking payments can be made to 06-0601-0783063-00, please put your surname and your cat’s name as a reference.
  • The client will be responsible for additional costs incurred by Cattery122 should there be travel disruptions or delays caused by a pandemic.
  • All recovery costs including legal costs are at the pet owner’s expense. Any outstanding debt will incur a 15% penalty per annum until paid in full. 
  • All cats must be fully vaccinated against Cat Flu and Feline Enteritis within the last year. A certificate from your vet or the vet vaccination record book verifying this is required on arrival.
  • We reserve the right to refuse to board any cat that is clearly unwell.
  • You must advise Cattery122 of any pre-existing medical conditions that your cat may have.
  • All cats must be regularly treated for worms and fleas, and preferably treated two weeks before coming to the cattery. This is necessary to protect our cattery environment and for the comfort of our other guests. There will be an additional charge as per our costings should we have to administer these treatments.
  • Should your cat become unwell and require a veterinary opinion, we will contact you (or your emergency contact) before we consult with your preferred vet or our local veterinary clinic (Vet Marlborough). We will be guided by the attending vet concerning the well-being of your cat. All veterinary expenses incurred while boarding with us are the Owners responsibility and must be paid in full on collection along with boarding fees.
  • Isolation Units: Should your cat require isolation during it’s stay with us, there will be a daily rate increase as per our costings due to the additional care required.
  • If your cat is on medication, we will dispense as per the vet’s instructions. Please ensure you bring enough to cover the period of their stay with us.
  • We feed Black Hawk range of quality dry cat food, this minimises stool odour for the comfort of all guests. Should you wish for your cat to receive a special or veterinary prescribed diet, food must be provided by the owner. There will be no reduction in the daily fee for this.
  • Grooming – We do not provide professional grooming services, this must be arranged privately if you wish for your cat to be groomed. We will endeavour to brush your cat daily, if tolerated.

  • We are open for inspection by appointment only.
  • We are closed for pick ups and drop offs Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday afternoon, Easter Sunday and Anzac Day morning.
  • Pick ups or drop offs are to be completed during our normal operating hours. Pick ups or drop offs outside of these times must be in agreement with us and will incur a $50 fee.
  • Full care and attention will be given to each cat during their stay. Cattery122, its directors, employees or agents will not be responsible for any act or omission leading to loss, harm, or whatsoever, as a result of the cat being administered any medication provided by the owner or the vet as per the instructions.
  • Cattery122 do not accept any liability or claims for illness, injury, disease, death or escape of any cat. Boarding and transportation of your cat is entirely at your own risk.
  • Cattery122 reserves the right to bring a claim for costs as result of incorrect information being provided leading to any spread of disease, illness or whatsoever within the cattery environment.
  • Please ensure your cat is delivered and collected in a SECURE appropriate cat carrier.
  • We must receive your authority to release your cat to another person. If an unknown person attempts to collect your cat, you will be contacted otherwise refusal to pick up will be given.
  • Cats that are not claimed within 14 days after the due pick up date are classified as abandoned and Cattery122 reserve the right to make suitable arrangements as we see fit. This does not release you, the owner, from liability for any unpaid fees or charges.
  • Cattery122 will not be liable for any loss, damage, accident or death if such events arise directly or indirectly from a cause by reason of Force Majeure. “Force Majeure” meaning any event outside the reasonable control of Cattery122.
  • Parties will act in good faith to resolve a dispute. Any dispute or difference arising out of or in connection with this contract, or the subject matter of this contract, including any question about its existence, validity or termination, shall be referred to mediation in accordance with the Mediation Rules of the New Zealand Dispute Resolution Centre.
